We Hold Ourselves to a Higher Standard

Certified Dementia Practitioner CDP®️ Certification. NCCDP-High-Res-Logo-Shaped-jpeg-1024x276.png

The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) requires that one staff member per shift be certified. Harmony Park has gone above and beyond this requirement by certifying all clinical staff, department heads, and team members within the community. This is accomplished through monthly ongoing trainings.

The CDP certification represents a commitment to excellence in dementia care, showcasing that a professional has completed comprehensive education and advanced skills training in the field. It reflects their dedication to providing high-quality care and their ongoing professional development through continuous learning opportunities offered by the NCCDP. Additionally, re-certification every two years ensures that Harmony Park will stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dementia care.

Harmony Park will soon be recognized for our excellence and for driving continuous improvement in the quality of services delivered to those living with dementia. Our team will undergo a rigorous audit and collaborate with the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) and the Institute for Senior Living Education (ISLE) to implement procedures and best practices. The Purple Flag™ accreditation standards are developed in consultation with healthcare experts and providers to further enhance staff education and demonstrate a commitment to best practices.

MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment)
